"Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and there is a riot, which makes your whole life useless. We must have life-building, human-building, character-building, assimilation of ideas. . "--- Swami Vivekananda The eternal words above define an autonomous body under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan- Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. KVS is a vibrant and premier educational institution in the field of quality school education. The KVS Jammu region was established in 1984 and currently has jurisdiction over 38 KVs located in Jammu and Kashmir, with a dedicated, well-equipped and committed team of effective management and teachers for the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of the students. Mr. Sewa Singh
Principal
The objective of education is to give us wisdom after we have attained knowledge. Being teacher is as much as important as being a good human – who can help those in need. Striving hard for excellence should be the prime objective of a worthy student. Once you stop learning, you cease to grow. In this cut throat competitive world a child carries the load of expectation of teachers, parents and peer group. New pattern introduced by CBSE is one step to share the burden of the child to some extent. But when it comes to competitive exams one has to undergo rigorous schedule to clear the hurdle in sight. Therefore, it becomes absolutely necessary for a child to plan, prepare & perform well right from the very beginning. We channelize the potential of the child to the optimum so that he becomes a successful professional, a good citizen and above all an asset to the human society. Every child is potentially the light of the world. And thus goes our motto ‘Inspire to enlighten’. We at Inspiration light a fire within the child so that he can fly with the wings of fire and seek new heights.
